Speculating on Skully’s “Self Fulfilling Prophesy”.

I completely enjoy listening to Skully’s “Self Fulfilling Prophesy” from his “Without A Voice” album; with its echoing piano & reverberating Hammond organ melodies along with the cleverly hidden ‘Subsonics’ subtly supporting the more obvious three bass drum beats.
However, I’ve always wondered what motivation was behind this mystifying and addictive track. Over one year later, I’ve finally received inspiration.
Recently while listening I speculated, might it have something to do with living at a train station? Some of the synthesized musical effects sound much like a train arriving at the station; steel wheels squealing as they grate slowly across the metal rails.
The music begins as one is falling off to sleep. Your mind is gearing down trying to relax and let go...but as thoughts of the busy day’s activities replay in a swift flicker like the flash of a camera, your nervous system quivers like an electric jolt.
With a clash of symbols, the mind has let go and dropped into dreamland.
The noisy disruption of the 3:30 a.m. Goods Train’s activities while in the Gare de Montrabe Station will cause one to begin dreaming of ‘what might be the next phase of your life’ {away from this unsettling environment}? Dreaming of new, interesting and exciting adventures towards your future accomplishments; you could very well be shaping your “Self Fulfilling Prophesy”; while the echoing piano and reverberating Hammond speak of how to write your own script. {One could easily wake in the morning with new motivation, whether consciously or subconsciously.}
As the sound of the Goods Train departing, steel wheels dragging along the tracks and the rush of escaping steam from the engine, the affirming layer of strings music will carry your spirit to a beautiful lush green French countryside of relaxation.
But the best part, {A ‘eureka moment’ for ME!} was the snoring at the end!!! HA HA!

(Sorry this is not the Gare de Montrabe train station. I could not find a pic of it.)
